Critical Missions Approach: Disarmament, Demobilization, And Reintegration (DDR)
Disarmament, Demobilization, And Reintegration (DDR)
United Nations peace operations (UNOP) are the leading institution implementing disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR) initiatives, designing context-specific programs for members of armed groups.
(DDR) is the means of getting rid of weapons from the hands of members of armed factions, taking these ex-combatants out of their clusters, and assisting them to reintegrate into society as civilians. This initiative seeks to help ex-combatants and those associated with armed groups so that they can become active participants in peace processes.
R- Reintegration is one particular process that tends to be cumbersome for most organizations due to the uncertain nature of the initiative; this is where Sia Global Leadership Foundation comes in as leadership and missions-oriented outfit. We are focused on sharing the unadulterated word of God with these fighters and as they are willing to accept the Lord’s grace of salvation, there is a need to give them subsistence by creating tailor-made skills and discipleship training programs for them to easily switch from the conflict trauma and assimilate into the society
